Cheers To Autumn With These Two Charming Mocktails

Even though Pasadena weather hasn’t allowed for much of an Autumn feel, thanks to the hotter than hot temperature, I am still fully in the spirit! One of the ways I am embracing Autumn is through the tastes of the season. As we continue to spend more time at home I am becoming one with my kitchen. So, I decided to whip up two charming mocktails inspired by Autumn favorites like pumpkin spice and delicious apple.

I have a few more tricks up my sleeve when it comes to Autumn mocktails, but for now I wanted to share these two I created to get you inspired….

PUMPKIN SPICE HOT CHOCOLATE

My son loves hot chocolate, as do I! This Pumpkin Spice Hot Chocolate is the perfect Autumn spin on the classic Winter beverage. You can actually do coffee for an adult version.

As I had my son help me create this yummy drink things got messy in my kitchen. Naturally, this will happen when kids get hands on. Luckily I keep Weiman products on hand. The Granite & Stone Disinfecting Wipes clean, shine and disinfect my countertops! What more could this mama want?

INGREDIENTS

  • Latte or hot chocolate
  • 1/4 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon and 1 cinnamon stick

INSTRUCTIONS

Brew coffee or make hot chocolate.

In a small saucepan combine pumpkin, vanilla extract, nutmeg, and heat over medium heat until steaming – do NOT boil.

Pour pumpkin mixture over coffee/hot chocolate.

Top with whipped cream and cinnamon or nutmeg, if desired.

THE TEACHER’S AID – MOCKTAIL

If you have kids your role as busy mama might have also turned into teacher’s aid. I know this is true for myself! Distance learning has it’s challenges and keeps me on my toes. So, at the end of the days I am ready to relax and sip on something sweet.

The Teacher’s Aid is a whole lot of sweet and very delicious. After being a teacher’s aid all day my patience to clean-up the kitchen isn’t really there. For easy clean up I grabbed my Weiman Granite & Stone Daily Clean & Shine to get my counters looking spectacular again.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 Limes
  • Sparkling water or ginger-ale*
  • Cranberry or Cranberry-Apple Juice
  • Sugar Cubes
  • Apple slice for Garnish

* Ginger-ale will result in a sweeter beverage
