Creating Content and How To Get It Featured.

Have you noticed all the good things happening on social media? With Instagram’s new tools and features, social media is my playground where I can play and experiment till my heart’s content. And that’s exactly what happened with my feature with BB Dakota.  Brands are catching on to this concept of #growingtogether.

I wanted to do something different, push the envelope on my style and look so I partnered with my stylist friend, Michelle Chan, and photographer, Albert Haleem for an unconventional shoot at the local Pasadena LaundroMat.

Key Tips for Getting Featured:

• Find out what your favorite brand’s hashtags are. I tagged #BabesinBBD and soon got a reply from BB Dakota.
• Research the style of content for their brand and make sure you are creating a story that aligns with their aesthetics. I check out my favorite brands “About Page” from time to time, to understand their mission and figure out how I can make it my own.
• Be sure to tag the brand, and give them lots love.  You never know when they will give you a shout out or ask to repost your photo.
• Make sure to only tag that brand. Try not to over-tag a photo with a bunch of brands/products. This provides a high chance of being reposted on their page.
