A Pretty Cool Hotel Tour is a travel series featuring unique, vintage, and theme hotels around the US. It’s made up of husband and wife, Corey and Margaret. The duo previously had an office space in Pasadena. That was where they met Taryn, after connecting first on Instagram. With a lot of common creative interests they became fast friends.
After years of traveling to theme hotels, Corey and Margaret took on a project during 2020 to design a vacation rental home in Palm Springs for their clients at The Rainbow Getaway. They wanted it to be inspired by the places Corey and Margaret visit, and they wanted each room to feature a different color of the rainbow.
It’s a 4 bedroom home so it was quite the process but they are so excited about the end result. There’s a pink room which is the honeymoon suite, a blue sky bathroom, a yellow daisy bedroom, green jungle bedroom, orange bathroom, and purple shell bedroom. The living room and kitchen got all of the colors they used as well so it comes together nicely.
Corey and Margaret are so excited that people get to experience the creation in-person now! They rent through Airbnb and can be found here. Now Margaret and Corey are back on the road discovering more theme hotels, but they are already dreaming of their next design project!
